New Healthy Treats April 13, 2007

natural and healthy semi-moist dog treats
Many semi-moist dog treats on the market today contain artificial coloring and flavor, and chemical preservatives. If you are a health-conscious pet owner who gives your dogs as natural food as possible, you probably stay away from these kinds of artificial, semi-moist treats that do not contain essential nutrients dogs need. Although treats are typically given in small amounts daily, small things can add up over a period of time.

Our new semi-moist "Tasty Rewards" treats are created as naturally as possible and are also backed by veterinary science. These new treats feature:

  • Free-range, farm-raised chicken and venison raised in New Zealand -- creating a savory treat that your dog will love.

  • Pumpkin Kernels, which contain ample protein and vitamins. The oil of the pumpkin seed consists of iron, fiber, zinc, magnesium and linoleic acid. Additionally, pumpkin kernels contain L-tryptophan.

  • Lecithin, which is a great source of essential fatty acids. Lecithin aids in the digestion of dietary fats and helps to improve the sheen of your dog's coat.

  • B12 Supplement, a naturally-occurring vitamin that helps to support a healthy nervous system and brain function.

  • No added chemical preservatives or artificial coloring (like all of HealthyPetNet's foods, supplements and treats).

"Tasty Rewards" are already cut in the perfect size so that you can put the pieces in your pocket (they are pliable, but won't crumble in your pocket!) and be ready to go with your dogs for your daily activities!

The Forest Cleanup April 04, 2007

My husband and I volunteered to join the city's spring clean-up of a nearby forest park last Saturday. Although we were not obligated to stay all day long since we were volunteers, we ended up staying till the cleanup was complete. The forest was full of garbage. It seemed like an endless task.

Here are some of the things we found dumped in the forest:

  • Car tires
  • Car parts (hoods, gas tanks, etc.)
  • A Jacuzzi
  • Beer bottles
  • Soda cans
  • Plastic water and soda bottles
  • Plastic bags
  • A Microwave
  • Household garbage
  • Bones of dead animals wrapped in plastic bags (!!)

It was a good educational experience for both my husband and me to help clean and preserve the integrity of the natural forest in the city where I live.

It is not just about the Price and the Label April 03, 2007

Life's Abundance Premium Health Food for dogs and cats
There are only so many things a pet food label can tell you. Regardless of what attractive things you see on the labels from store-bought pet foods, unexpected things can happen. The recent pet foods recall is a good example. Knowing that you are getting a good quality pet food partly depends on the willingness of pet food companies to reveal information about the foods they produce.

The following features are not necessarily on the pet food labels of Life's Abundance Premium Health Food, but the company is eager to share these facts with pet owners who are interested in purchasing their holistic pet foods. Think of it as a "Behind-the-scenes" or "the Making" of Life's Abundance!
  • Our manufacturer is APHIS certified to sell pet food in the European market, which has more stringent regulations than in the U.S. for pet food manufacturing.

  • We make small, frequent batches to insure that you get the freshest food possible. The Life's Abundance food that you get delivered to your door may be about 6 weeks old. Some store bought pet food could be anywhere from 6 months to a year old.

  • We don't use any chemical additives or preservatives. And we never will.

  • You can speak to our product formulator - Dr. Jane Bicks on her weekly conference call about Life's Abundance pet food or any other Trilogy products. This is a good opportunity for pet owners to learn more about this pet food that the label does not tell.

There are many pet owners looking for better-quality and safe pet foods as a result of the recent pet foods recall. I hope Life's Abundance Premium pet foods will be one of their choices. Try our holistic products today! (To order, click here.)
